Devian Privacy Policy
Devian is an equipment-maintenance app for iPhone and iPad, developed by Fran Julián (Falkir). This policy explains what data Devian stores, where it stores it, and what it does — and does not do — with it.
Summary
Devian has no server of its own. There is no Devian backend that your data travels to. Everything you record lives on your device and, if the Apple account on that device has iCloud enabled, in its private CloudKit container: the same mechanism Apple uses to sync Notes or Reminders between devices. Nobody at Falkir, and no third party, can see your machines, your repairs or your services.
What data Devian stores
- Your equipment, jobs, services, technicians, buildings and areas. This is the content you enter: names, makes, models, serial numbers, suppliers, dates, costs, notes, photos and the files you attach (invoices and quotes).
- The technician selected in the app’s picker, to attribute each job. It is not a user account: there are no passwords and no personal identification beyond the name you type.
- Local notifications scheduled on the device to remind you of services that are due. They go through no third-party push server.
Devian does not request camera or photo-library permission: images come in through the system photo picker, which needs no authorisation and only hands over the photos you choose.

Subscription and purchases
Devian offers a yearly subscription per company, with a full free year to start. The purchase and its verification are handled by StoreKit, directly between the device and Apple. Devian never receives or processes your payment method or your purchase history: Apple handles that. Without a subscription the app still opens in read-only mode and the full export stays available: cancelling never deletes or locks your data.
What Devian never does
- It has no server of its own and no backend that your data is sent to.
- It includes no analytics, measurement or advertising SDK.
- It does not track your activity or share it with anyone.
- It does not sell or share your data with third parties, because it does not collect it.
Because Devian collects no data, its App Store listing shows the “Data Not Collected” label.
Your controls
- Export: from Settings, the whole inventory, history and services as CSV tables, and a PDF report of the entire fleet.
- Import: a CSV file with your machines, so you never have to type them in again.
- Delete: uninstalling the app removes the local copy. To remove the iCloud copy as well, go to the device’s iCloud settings, under “Manage Storage”, and delete Devian’s data. The sample workshop loaded from Settings is removed with its own button, without touching your data.
Children
Devian is a work tool for companies and is not directed at children. It does not knowingly collect data from children; since it collects no data about any user, this holds by design.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the “Last updated” date at the top of this page will be updated. If the change were significant — for example, if Devian started using a server, which it does not do today — you would also be told inside the app itself.
